Acting like an excellent tube amp, the XOTIC AC Booster V2 pedal is an attractive evolution of its predecessor.
Still ultra-reactive and sensitive to the musician's dynamics, it lets you switch from clean tones to low-gain overdrive simply by adjusting the threshold of the instrument's volume potentiometer. A DIP switch with four modes on the side of the case offers new control options. You'll find the sound of the original AC Booster, a "Modern" mode with more gain and articulation, and two high and low-midrange boosters (500Hz, 2kHz). The Xotic AC Booster V2 is compatible with the Xotic "Voltage Doubler" device, which lets you switch from 9V to 18V. This increases the effect's potential tenfold, with more dynamics, amplitude, brilliance and less compression.
