The Aguilar Jazz bass 70's Era AG 5J-70 Set duo of 5-string electric bass pickups is handcrafted in New York City using period-accurate components: Heavy Formvar wire, Alnico V magnets... All jazz bass fans know that pickups built in the 1970s sound very different from those used in the 1960s. 1970s pickups have a glossier sound, ideal for slap, funk and R&B, but they're also suitable for rock styles: a range from the Geddy Lee sound to Marcus Miller's jazz/funk illustrates the possibilities of these pickups.
