The Sawbones is a complete, noise-free optical compressor, ideal at the start of your signal chain as a tone conditioner or boost, offered by the Bolt & Forge brand.
In addition to adding no noise to your signal, the Sawbones is transparent, meaning it leaves the sound from the rest of your gear untouched while you adjust the compression level you want. A studio-quality rail-to-rail JFET op amp, combined with the ability to operate up to 18 volts, means you'll never have headroom issues.
Clear control allows you to mix your uncompressed dry signal, so there are no "dulls" you might hear when using compression.
While some compressor pedals include a "tone" knob, the Sawbones offers a full, active tone stack with bass and treble controls to help you dial in exactly the sound you're looking for.
