The compact CAROLINE GUITAR Kilobyte-2000 Lo-Fi Tap Delay pedal is an evolution of the original Kilobyte from 2013. In addition to tap tempo functionality via on-board or optional external footswitch (a selector gives a choice of three subdivisions: dotted eighth, quarter or triplet), this new version benefits from improvements (borrowed from the 2020 Megabyte). Delay time has been increased to one second (maximum), you'll have a preamp to saturate repeats and a trails mode (to let the effect disappear gradually when the pedal is deactivated).
In addition to the traditional controls for Level, Repeats and Time, you'll find additional settings for Preamp (distortion of repeats), Havoc (auto-oscillation), Modulation and Sharpness (accentuates the effect of the preamp and adjusts its maximum gain).
The Caroline Guitar Kilobyte-2000 Lo-Fi Tap Delay is a singular, flexible delay that will appeal in particular to lovers of vintage sounds.
