Reverb, delay & echo effect pedal
The Soft Focus reverb patch embedded in the Yamaha FX500 processor is inseparable from the "Shoegaze" bands of the 1990s, one of whose best ambassadors is undoubtedly Slowdive (Souvlaki album).
The compact CATALINBREAD Soft Focus Reverb pedal is inspired by this precise algorithm, enhanced by a quality mix control, pre-amp and bypass that were lacking at the time. The Catalinbread Soft Focus is initially a Plate-style reverb, deeply upgraded, with adjustable time, then divided into three signals.
The first incorporates a symphonic chorus modulator, the second a higher octave combined with reverb, and the third a pure reverb.
The Mod control acts on the chorus speed of the first signal, Symphony on the octave level of the second signal.
All parameters are correlated with the tone of the reverb to increase sonic experimentation tenfold.
