Volume, boost & expression effect pedal
The Diamond Pedals Boost/EQ concept was born in the early 2000s, following a request for a "compression-free" version of the famous Diamond Compressor, combining a proprietary boost circuit with the Compressor's Tilt EQ.
This versatile, silent pedal offers a dynamic, punchy sound, ideal for all configurations.
Incorporating the dynamic, high-fidelity gain stages of the Comp/EQ, the Boost/EQ delivers a powerful sound while maintaining clarity and transparency. Tilt and Mid controls give you total freedom to sculpt your sound. Need more brightness? Adjust it with the Tilt knob. Need a midrange boost to punch up your solos? The Mid knob is there for you. Want a Marshall sound that's a little more Fender? It's all possible with Diamond's Boost/EQ.
What's more, the Boost/EQ has a second mode offering transparent, characterful low-gain overdrive. This makes the Boost/EQ the ultimate Swiss Army knife for your pedalboard, combining clear boost, tone shaping and overdrive in one powerful, versatile pedal.
Boost/EO features two distinct modes of operation. The first is a clear boost mode designed to increase the output level of your signal, enabling you to boost low-level pickups, boost tube amps and distortion pedals for increased sustain and saturation, or simply make your solos stand out in the mix.
In OD mode, the pedal's gain structure is modified and soft-clipping diodes are added to the circuit. The result is smooth, transparent and musical distortion.
Depending on where you place the Boost/EO in your signal chain, it will produce either volume boost or distortion/saturation. Place it at the end of a pedal chain or in the effects loop of an amp to boost volume. Place it in front of your drives and fuzzes for extra gain and distortion.
