In the early days of bicycle development, the lack of suspension on some bikes earned them the nickname Boneshaker. This nickname stuck with bikes without rear suspension: only the most daring and passionate bikers could handle such brutality. DOD presents its new, truly brutal disto!
The new DOD Boneshaker distortion was developed in partnership with Mark Wentz of Black Arts Toneworks, a true boutique pedal guru, who designed his circuit specifically for guitars with extended tessituras (baritone, drop-tuned, 7- or 8-string, or even bass). The Boneshaker is designed to embody the ULTIMATE distortion pedal for metal, hard rock and other styles that demand raw low-end power.
While the Distortion potentiometer adjusts the amount of distortion applied to the signal, Depth is used to increase or reduce the low-frequency "growl", specifically adapted to instruments with extended tessituras. The second great quality of the Boneshaker lies in its parametric equalizer, which lets you adjust bass, midrange and treble while choosing the frequency range over which the potentiometer will act: carve your sound from the rough and refine it down to the smallest detail.
