Featuring a MIDI interface for remote control of several parameters (front panel functions, IR selection, Reverb Level, Delay Level, the Noise Gate Threshold), theENGL Steve Morse E658 Signature 20 Head is a versatile and functional tube amp head for electric guitar.
Its custom circuit, equipped with four 12AX7s and two EL84s, delivers 20, 5 or 1 watts as required. You can also deactivate the speaker output for direct console recording. The two available channels feature individual gain and volume controls, to perfectly balance their output levels.
A shared EQ and several filters will help you sculpt your sounds. To complete the picture, there's a noise gate, delay and reverb, all three adjustable. At the rear, you'll also find an eight-position selector for choosing your IR in direct recording mode via XLR output (new ones can be loaded via USB), an effects loop and outputs for connecting different speaker cabinet configurations (1x 8", 1x 16", 2x 16").
