Custom Shop & Star's Music
The Gibson Custom Shop Made To Measure (M2M) program has been around since 2013. It allows you to place an order for the Gibson of your dreams (be it a Les Paul, an SG, an ES-335, an Explorer…), which you will have precisely determined the characteristics.
It is this program that we can call on to build our own M2M models. Check out this collection on the Star’s Music website.
If you want to build your dream guitar, just contact us so that we can select a reference model together (to be chosen from a list of instruments inspired in particular by the iconic guitars of Gibson's golden age), then the different options offered by the Custom Shop (body wood/neck/fingerboard, table grade, pickups, neck profile, fittings, colors, finish, etc.).
These specifications are then sent to the Custom Shop for validation, quotation and evaluation of the delivery time. All you have to do is accept the quote and wait! Do not hesitate to contact us to find out more.

Signature electric guitar
Dave Mustaine is the legendary guitarist, vocalist, songwriter, and founder of the
multi-platinum selling and Grammy® Award-winning band, MEGADETH. With that legacy
in mind, it's no surprise that he demands excellence from any instrument that bears his
name.
The EPIPHONE Dave Mustaine Flying V Custom (EIGVCDMSBMBH3) solid body electric guitar is no exception, delivering powerful, heavy sound and exceptional playing performance with every note.
The 24.75” scale mahogany neck has a gloriously agile ebony fretboard with 24 medium
jumbo frets, an Explorer™-style headstock with Grover® Mini Rotomatic® tuners, and a Graph Tech® nut. The mahogany Flying V-style body is equipped with a LockTone™ Tune-O-Matic™ bridge, string-thru Flying V tailpiece, and Dave's signature Seymour Duncan® Thrash Factor pickups that deliver all the high-output mayhem you'd expect from a Mustaine signature axe.
The pure-metal looks are rounded out with a Black Metallic finish offset with white body, neck, and headstock binding, along with black nickel hardware. A hardshell case is also included.
In 1990 Megadeth released their landmark fourth album, “Rust In Peace.” Widely regarded as one of the most iconic and influential metal albums of all time, its breakneck rhythms, intricate arrangements, shifting time signatures, and blazing dual lead guitar lines showcased the band’s mastery of their craft.
During the recording of the album, Dave relied heavily on one guitar in particular that was loaded with a Seymour Duncan JB in the bridge and 59 model in the neck. According to Dave, that JB had a tone that was different from an ‘off-the-shelf’ JB – and had become part of his signature sound.
Seymour Duncan worked closely with Dave to recreate the tone and feel of his favorite JB, ultimately altering the winding process in order to achieve the tone he was looking for – compared to the standard JB model, the Thrash Factor’s low end is tighter, the mids are slightly scooped, and the highs are more aggressive.
