Signature electric guitar
Based on the precise recommendations of the famous Megadeth frontman, the EPIPHONE Dave Mustaine Flying V Custom solid body electric guitar ( EIGVCDMSBMBH3 ) is an attractive reinterpretation of the legendary 1958 Gibson with an assertive Metal bent.
Traditional mahogany body construction, glued mahogany neck (Mustaine Custom D profile), Ebony fingerboard, 24 frets, Seymour Duncan Dave Mustaine Signature Thrash Factor pickups. The Seymour Duncan Dave Mustaine Signature Thrash Factor are a reproduction of the Seymour Duncan pickups installed on the guitar Dave Mustaine used to record the legendary 1990 album Rust In Peace. This set consisted of a JB in bridge position and a '59 in neck position. According to Mustaine, this JB possessed a particular temperament, different from a production example, with tauter basses, noticeably deeper mids and more aggressive highs.
Since the change of management in 2018, the good news at Gibson has been one after another: major investments to rehabilitate the production tool and offer higher, more homogeneous and consistent production quality, revised pricing, redesigned ranges for greater clarity, and a lot of new products to top it all off. Epiphone is following the same guideline, with a product range and nomenclatures inspired by Gibson ranges for greater consistency, and a few new models produced in the USA.
