Metal electric guitar
The EPIPHONE Inspired By Gibson Futura Flying V Custom solid body electric guitar (EIFFVCQSSNH) is a modern, versatile reinterpretation of the legendary Gibson Flying V from the late 1950's. Released from Gibson's workshops in 1958, its radical design for the time did not immediately appeal to guitarists, and few examples were produced for the first batch (hence their incredible value on the vintage market). It wasn't until about ten years later that it was adopted by musicians. Over the following decades, it acquired iconic status in the hands of rockers such as Jimi Hendrix, Michael Schenker and James Hetfield, who helped push the Flying V into the top league and make it a favorite among Hard-Rock / Metal guitarists.
With its impressive specifications, the Futura Flying V Custom should appeal to fans of big sound, from Hard-Blues to more contemporary Metal!
Its luthiery takes up the essentials of the original specifications, with a body and set neck bonded in mahogany. On the other hand, the fingerboard is made of Ebony, a positive point if you like defined saturation. The 22 frets are stainless steel, another very qualitative argument, and it's equipped with new Epiphone ProBucker™ Ignite Humbuckers pickups that produce big saturations, without lacking clarity or nuance on clears and crunches. Dual push/pull volume knobs toggle each pickup from dual to single-coil. The push/pull potentiometer also activates a second phase inversion option. The Futura's playing comfort is absolutely remarkable, with a Modern C neck profile and a hybrid radius ranging from 10" to 14". Finally, we'd like to highlight the attention to detail (locking tuners, Graphtech nut) and finishing touches, with superb "Split-Block Inlays" fretboard markers, multi-ply purfling and two magnificent holographic shades, Quicksilver Shift and Solaris Shift, that will set you apart on stage.
