The EPIPHONE Inspired By Gibson Les Paul Special Double Cut Figured solid body electric guitar (EILSDFOWNH1) is the affordable reinterpretation of the original 1955 Les Paul Special. Designed at the time for beginners, it's an intermediate version between the Les Paul Junior and Les Paul Standard, from which it takes on the fundamental characteristics: mahogany body and set neck, rosewood fingerboard. It benefits from a duo of P-90 pickups for added versatility. The model evolved in 1958 with a double cutaway, then in 1960 with a modified neck pickup placement and a new, more user-friendly profile (Slim Taper).
Enhanced by an attractive AAA Flame Maple finish and purfling around the body and fingerboard, this modern version is also equipped with a duo of Epiphone ProBucker humbucking pickups, giving it new sonic potential, especially in saturation.
