Made in Mexico, the FENDER Limited Edition Screamadelica 30th Anniversary Stratocaster solid body electric guitar (0141063350) celebrates the thirtieth anniversary of Primal Scream's essential "Screamadelica" album. Released in 1991, this musical masterpiece, a perfect blend of Indie Rock and Acid House, catapulted its Scottish authors to international stardom. The Limited Edition Screamadelica 30th Anniversary Stratocaster is a traditional/vintage model featuring an Alder body, 22-fret Pau Ferro fingerboard (Modern C profile, 9.5" radius), vintage voiced Alnico V pickups and 2-point synchronized vibrato. Sold with Fender gig bag.

The Pau Ferro fingerboard is made of wood from the forests of Brazil and Bolivia. Its high density generates a hybrid sound between rosewood and maple. Its pleasant touch is undeniably reminiscent of Ebony.

Je commencerai par parler de son look qui est très particulier. Personnellement je suis passé à côté de la sortie de cet album de Primal Scream il y a 30 ans, j'ai plutôt connu le groupe avec Rocks en 1994. Merci à Fender de commémorer l'anniversaire de Screamadelica, ça m'a permis de redécouvrir ce groupe.

La déco est un peu criarde mais je la trouve sympa. J'aime beaucoup la peinture sur les capots de micros et les couleurs distinctes pour les boutons et le switch.

La guitare est très bien finie, les frettes bien dressées et parfaitement polies (on peut faire des bends partout sur le manche sans problème).

La couleur du Pao Ferro est pas terrible, j'aurais vraiment préféré une touche en palissandre ou érable.

Seul bémol, le manche dépasse un peu du talon du corps du côté des aigus. On a l'inverse d'une Nocaster (qui elle a le talon du corps qui dépasse du manche côté aigus). Je doute que ça soit voulu et je mettrai cela sur le zèle de la personne qui a (un peu trop) poncé le corps avant peinture.

Une strat qui sort du lot (visuellement) et sonne très bien. Un poil cher mais c'est un modèle limité, elle trouvera sûrement son public: collectionneurs et guitaristes souhaitant se démarquer sur scène.
