Retro rock electric guitar

Ben Gibbard has been making his voice heard since the late 1990s as singer-songwriter of the famous indie rock band Death Cab for Cutie. His melodious, personal compositions, combined with the band's powerful sound, have earned him platinum status and paved the way for new generations of musicians.

Ben has been touring with modified 1970s Fender Mustangs for many years. The Ben Gibbard Mustang recreates these beasts of the stage and adds a few notable improvements.

Featuring an ash body with acoustic chambers, a design intended to increase resonance and reduce weight, and a maple neck with Modern "C" profile topped by a 9.5" (241 mm) radius fingerboard and 22 jumbo medium frets, this comfortable, versatile guitar is just waiting to get on stage. The electronics include a set of vintage-inspired Ben Gibbard Mustang custom pickups and a three-position rotary pickup selector switch. What appears to be a vintage-style Mustang bridge is in fact an innovative modified Hardtail model that guarantees unrivalled tuning stability, intonation and sustain.
