Based on a "1956 Stratocaster Base Model" die, the solidbody electric guitar FENDER Custom Shop Time Machine 1956 Stratocaster Journeyman Relic #CZ570281 (9236080908) features a "sort for lightweight" two-piece Alder body, a neck with rift-sawn Maple fingerboard (10/56 V profile, radius 9.5" radius, narrow-tall frets), Custom Shop hand-wound Bone Tone pickups and traditional/vintage hardware. Featuring AlNiCo 2 magnets, Master Design Bone Tone pickups have been designed to offer greater clarity on saturated tones, while retaining a fundamental temperament similar to that of fifties pickups.

The Fender Telecaster, Stratocaster, Jazzmaster, Jaguar Precision Bass or Jazz Bass are legendary electrics that are an integral part of the history of amplified music, having contributed amply to its expansion and democratization.
The ideal would be to be the proud owner of an original from the 50s or 60s, but the price of vintage instruments is so high that it's difficult for anyone to get access to them. Concerning the Relic finish: the dealers present at NAMM 1995 were totally blown away by the level of realism of the first two Relic models that Fender presented to them that year. Despite being vintage connoisseurs, they mistook them for genuine Fender originals (a '51 Nocaster and a '56 Mary Kaye Stratocaster).
