The FENDER Custom Shop Time Machine Vintage Custom '62 Stratocaster (9237003354) is a reinterpretation of the iconic Strat from the early 1960s. Solid body electric guitar, Alder "sort for lighweight" body, rift-sawn Maple bolt-on neck, Maple fingerboard ('63 Style C profile, medium-vintage frets, 7.25" / 9.5" hybrid radius), Custom Shop 1962/63 Strat hand-wound pickups.

The Fender Telecaster, Stratocaster, Jazzmaster, Jaguar Precision Bass or Jazz Bass are legendary electrics that are an integral part of the history of amplified music, having contributed amply to its expansion and democratization.
The ideal would be to be the proud owner of an original from the 50s or 60s, but the price of vintage instruments is so high that it's difficult for anyone to get access to them. Concerning the Relic finish: the dealers present at NAMM 1995 were totally blown away by the level of realism of the first two Relic models that Fender presented to them that year. Despite being vintage connoisseurs, they mistook them for genuine Fender originals (a '51 Nocaster and a '56 Mary Kaye Stratocaster).
Hand-wound 1955 Strat pickups with 1954 covers are wired to a vintage '55 control assembly and five-way switch. Other features include Closet Classic hardware, single-ply eggshell pickguard, vintage-style hardtail bridge with patent pending saddles, vintage-style tuning machines, bone nut and a disc string tree. Available in Wide-Fade Two-Color Sunburst and Aged White Blonde finishes. Includes deluxe hardshell case, strap and certificate of authenticity.
