Str shape electric guitar
The Fender Jeff Beck Stratocaster is a solid body electric guitar with Alder body, bolt-on neck in Maple - 22-fret Rosewood fingerboard and 3 Fender Dual-Coil Ceramic Noiseless pickups. From his early days with the British Invasion to his more-than-visionary recent guitar exploits, Jeff Beck remains one of the world's leading electric guitarists. The Jeff Beck Strat Artist Signature was introduced in 1991 and updated ten years later. A Custom Shop version has also been available since 2004.
Models produced before 2001 were based on the 1987 Plus series, featuring a 'Deep '50s U-shape' neck profile, a set of Gold Lace Sensor pickups in a humbucking/single-coil/single-coil configuration), a TBX tone circuit affecting both bridge and center pickups, plus a mini push-push button for 'splitting' the bridge pickup coils (this first version was offered in Seafoam Green, Vintage White, Mystic Black & Midnight Purple).
This new version has been substantially modified, with a somewhat refined neck, and the switch to Fender Vintage Noiseless pickups, an evolution of the Lace Sensor, which have the same silent aspect but a character much closer to that of the original Fender pickups of the 50's. The Jeff Beck Signature Stratocaster is an integral part of the artist's sonic identity. It's a high-flying neo-vintage instrument, yet it borrows a few elements from modern technology (Ceramic Noiseless pickups, LRS nut...), for a final result that combines the best of two worlds [ See alternatives to the Fender Jeff Beck Stratocaster ].
