This Jimi Hendrix Stratocaster takes advantage of hybrid vintage/modern features with an Alder body, Fender American-made Pure Vintage '65 Gray-Bottom pickups, 21 medium-jumbo frets, a contemporary 9.5" radius and vintage-style hardware. The foundations of the unique style of Stratocasters used by Hendrix lie in his habit of inverting the body, neck and strings to accommodate his left-handed playing. These modifications have an impact on the sound of the instrument by changing the tension of the strings: basses are tighter and more incisive, and bends are easier to make.
