Fender Yngwie Malmsteen Stratocaster (USA, MN) - vintage white

The Fender Yngwie Malmsteen Stratocaster is a solid body electric guitar with an assertive Vintage Metal identity, new Seymour Duncan pickups - The Yngwie Malmsteen Stratocaster was updated in 2007 and again in 2011 with a new set of Seymour Duncan YJM Fury STK-S10 pickups, which the technicians at the Cutom Shop Seymour Duncan, and the artist himself, meticulously worked out over 18 months, prototype after prototype (some twenty in all).

This Strat is very vintage in spirit, but thanks to its electronics, provides generous saturation (at least more generous than that of a classic Stratocaster), in keeping with the musical style of the Swedish virtuoso. The new triplet of Seymour Duncan pickups retains the clarity of the DiMarzio but, according to the artist, is remarkably warmer, and has been specially designed to maintain consistent string-to-string volume and balance, whether playing aggressively with the pick or fluidly with the hammer-on, and whatever the position of the pickup selector switch. What's more, the stack format of the pickups allows high saturation levels to be used without background noise.
