Electric guitar amp head

Handcrafted in the USA from the finest components available, the FRIEDMAN JJ Junior Head 20-watt all-tube electric guitar amp is the compact variant of Alice In Chains guitarist Jerry Cantrell's Friedman JJ-100.

Equipped with 2x EL84 power amp and 3x 12AX7 preamp, the JJ-Junior offers two channels for the rich, complex saturations typical of the guitarist's identity, and the clean, VOX AC30-style tones. The JJ Junior is equipped with a load box and XLR output with analog speaker cabinet simulation, offering superior performance to most digital response pulses.
The JJ Junior can be combined with any type of effects pedal, including boosts, ODs, phasers, flangers, tremolos, front-panel wahs or delay/reverb effects in the ultra-transparent series effects loop.

Le canal drive est extra, le son de Steve Stevens est mon benchmark et avec cet ampli je m'en approche.
L'ampli est largement assez puissant pour les répétitions. D'habitude on repique le baffle sur la sono pour les concerts. Je n'ai pas encore essayé la sortie XLR avec simulation de HP, c'est à tester, seule ou en conjonction avec le HP repiqué. A voir aussi si l'utilisation de l'ampli sans cab avec la sortie XLR directe est pratique pour les répétitions.

Auparavant j'utilisais le canal clean des amplis disponibles sur place avec une revv G3 ou une BE-OD, le comble c'est que la G3 rend mieux avec le canal clean de ce Friedman qu'avec la plupart des amplis que j'ai pu essayer !

C'était un achat presque impulsif, j'étais parti pour acheter un ampli clean transportable facilement (combo ou 1x12), simple à utiliser, qui passe mes pédales le mieux possible. J'utilise ce Friedman JJ jr avec le 1x12 de la marque (Celestion G12M Creamback) avec de bons résultats. J'aurai un avis plus complet plus tard, mais pour l'instant je ne suis pas déçu.
