Double cut electric guitar

Originally christened "Les Paul", the SG Custom 61 (3 pickups) retains only the headstock design, the ebony fingerboard and the mahogany body. The Gibson custom shop is reissuing this legendary model with its "Vibrola" vibrato (used on early '60s models) and set of Custombucker pickups. This model offers greater versatility, allowing you to navigate through different styles with ease. The balance between the mahogany body, ebony fingerboard and Custombuckers pickup set offers a slightly more midrange-oriented soundstage (ideal for rhythm work requiring more "snap") without losing the thickness of Gibson grain.

The use of ebony for the fingerboard generates a more compressed sound than the usual rosewood, and will keep you in the mix when you're playing in a band. Its "Vibrola" vibrato offers smooth, precise nuances of play, and will keep you in tune in all circumstances. The instrument is delivered with certificate of authenticity and hardshell case.
