Millimetric construction ("Long Neck Tenon" joint, "hot hide glue*"), laser-scanned dimensions, top-grade components (solid Mahogany body and neck, solid Rosewood fingerboard, Custombucker Alnico III pickups), chemically recreated plastics.
Sold with Custom Shop hardshell case and certificate of authenticity * Since 2014, Gibson has been using "Hot Hide Glue" with the same characteristics as the adhesives used in the 1950s.

Achetée dans sa version 2006 mais c'est la même.
Une guitare extraordinaire ! Branchée sur un Marshall à lampes ou une modélisation du Marshall Plexi lead de Universal Audio, on est bluffé ! Tous les sons des plus grands sont là : Angus Young, Mick Taylor et quelques autres. Sur le micro manche, on a le son de Mick Taylor quand il jouait en solo dans les Stones. A l'occasion, elle est très convaincante en Metal également.
Seul défaut mais il est minime en comparaison de toutes ses qualités : en slide c'est pas terrible (d'ailleurs, maintenant que j'y pense, Mick Taylor prenait toujours sa Lepaul pour jouer slide). Les cordes sont tellement près du manche (ce qu'on apprécie et ne veut pas changer) que le bottleneck frise tout le temps. Ingérable.
Mais pour le reste elle est incroyable, tant du point de vue son que du point de vue lutherie. Essayez là sur ampli à lampes et vous allez tout de suite comprendre.
Depuis la première minute où je l'ai eue en main, j'ai un étrange sentiment : l'impression que la guitare elle-même fait des efforts conscients pour m'aider à faire passer ce que je veux faire passer... Un travail d'équipe, quoi :-)
L'une des meilleurs guitares électriques que j'ai jamais eu entre les mains.
