Overview

The GIBSON Modern Collection SJ-200 Standard Rosewood (MCJB20RWHFRB) is a modern interpretation of the famous Super Jumbo, featuring a rosewood body and a mahogany neck. It features a Baggs HiFi DNA preamp for an enhanced listening experience.

High-Quality Craftsmanship for Unmatched Sound

The SJ-200 Standard Rosewood features an all-solid-wood construction using traditional woods: a Sitka spruce top, a rosewood body, a mahogany neck, and an Indian rosewood fingerboard. This combination delivers tones that are:

• Clear and powerful
• Punchy and glossy
• Full, responsive bass
• Midrange and treble with excellent articulation

Its Super Jumbo body size ensures impressive projection, ideal for singers, songwriters, and fans of country, Americana, and traditional folk.

An innovative preamp system for an authentic sound

The SJ-200 Standard Rosewood is equipped with the exclusive Baggs HiFi DNA system. This system uses two pickups strategically placed under the bridge plate, separately capturing the vibrations of the strings and those of the soundboard. This results in recordings with enhanced naturalness and dynamics, faithfully reproducing the instrument’s acoustic character.

Each Baggs HiFi DNA pickup has its own active preamp, with volume and tone controls located on the inner edge of the soundhole, providing the musician with optimal control.
