Acoustic bass
The GODIN A5 Ultra Natural Fretless A/E (050789) is an innovative five-string semi-acoustic bass, combining sublime playing comfort with no less remarkable versatility thanks to two on-board recording systems: - individual piezos per string connected to dedicated Godin custom electronics offering double-bass-like tones - Low Profile Lace Sensor magnetic pickup with its own volume and tone controls Canadian Basswood openwork body, solid Spruce top, Richlite fingerboard.
Supplied in a Godin gig bag, the fingerboard is made of Richlite, an excellent substitute for Ebony. Used for decades in the aeronautical and maritime industries, it is a dense composite material made essentially from FSC-certified recycled paper, to which phenolic resin is added. The whole is heated to a high temperature.
