Combining elegance and impeccable finish, the GUILD Westerly M-240E (GU166) is a Concert-style electro-acoustic steel-string acoustic guitar with a solid Sitka spruce top, laminated mahogany back and sides, and a Guild AP-1 Active pre-amp system (volume and low-frequency controls in the soundhole). It's a very pleasant guitar to play, both ergonomically and acoustically.

C’est une jolie guitare avec un son de qualité et un volume sonore conséquent, malgré la petite taille du corps. Beaucoup de brillance, un très bon sustain dans les médiums et les aigus.
J’aime particulièrement le contact et l’aspect des touches en palissandre indien, ainsi que la finesse des mécaniques.
Le manche manque de confort et il faut rapidement réajuster la hauteur des cordes.
C’est dommage aussi d’avoir des chevilles en plastique alors que les sillets sont en os.
Mais une fois les réglages effectués, c’est une GUILD sympa et digne de ce nom.
