A reinterpretation of the original 1967 Starfire Bass II (notably used by Jack Casady / Jefferson Airplane and Phil Lesh / Grateful Dead), the GUILD Newark St. Collection Starfire II Bass Flamed Maple (Natural)is a semi-hollow body electric bass with center block and short scale (30"). Top, back, sides and neck are laminated Flamed Maple, and the fingerboard is Ebony.
The combination of this luthiery with Guild BS-1 pickups featuring AlNiCo II magnets provides a vast collection of rich, dynamic tones.
