Produced in Japan, the IBANEZ Joe Satriani JS3CR or "Chrome Boy" solid body electric guitar is certainly the most emblematic of Joe Satriani's signature models.
Its excellent craftsmanship (basswood body, bolt-on neck in maple, 24-fret rosewood fingerboard) gives it a warm, thick sound whose qualities are enhanced by its set of Di Marzio pickups (Satchur8 treble and PAF PRO bass). Equipped with an Ibanez Edge double-block vibrato, it will hold the chord perfectly under the repeated assaults of your vibrato playing. It also features a Coil-tap function (via a push-pull system on the tone control), extremely useful when lowering gain or switching to clean sound, and a High-Pass filter that preserves treble as soon as you turn down the volume knob.
