It's a high-performance model offered at a very attractive price, featuring traditional/modern Fender Stratocaster-inspired lutherie (poplar body, bolt-on maple neck, scale 25.5"), with a 24-fret fingerboard and Jackson humbucking pickups for generous saturation. Poplar is considered an alternative to Alder, with a similar frequency balance.
This species is affordable and therefore often used to build entry-level instruments.
The fingerboard is made of Amaranth or Purpleheart. This is a relatively rare, high-quality species from South American forests. Its high density provides extended sustain, excellent dynamics and clarity.
It can be compared to Brazilian rosewood.
