In the '90s, an English pedal manufacturer with unconventional ideals saw its creations become legendary in just a few years of existence, and one product in particular was hugely successful. Used by musicians such as U2's The Edge, Jimmy Page, Radiohead, Gary Moore and many others, its price on the second-hand market reached $800. The JHS PEDALS Cheese Ball Fuzz saturation pedal is a faithful and extremely accurate reproduction of this original circuit, a tribute to one of the most fascinating brands and pedals of all time! The Cheese Ball has standard Volume, Gain and Tone settings like most distortion pedals, but it also has a mode selector to choose from 4 different types of gain and tone. In the Off position, the Tone setting is deactivated, giving a bright, dirty distortion/fuzz. In position 1, the sound is deepened in the midrange for a round, Big Muff-style saturation. Position 2 is a midrange boost that will stand out in the mix. Finally, position 3 gives an incisive, gate-like fuzz.
