Overdrive, distortion & fuzz effect pedal

This is the first modern, full-featured JHS distortion pedal not based on a previous circuit or classic topology. In 2016, Josh had the idea of developing a circuit that covered the best high-gain distortion tones of the 90s and 2000s, a sound that epitomized the post-grunge alternative rock movement. JHS began by examining pedals, then amps, and after exploring the usual circuits, JHS decided to start from scratch. 8 years later, the pedal is finished and ready to take you to the next level. The Hard Drive goes further and louder than any gain or distortion JHS has released to date.

A fresh approach to high-gain distortion in pedal format, the Hard Drive features cascading gain stages and intense limiting circuitry, followed by a Class AB amplifier section that feeds an adjustable midrange EQ and Baxandall-style bass and treble controls. The Hard Drive gives you a tube amp crunch or a true wall of distortion that can easily pierce any stage or studio mix.
