Compressor, sustain & noise gate effect pedal for bass
This wah-wah pedal, specially designed for Tool bassist Justin Chancellor, combines 3 effects in a single pedal: the expressiveness of a custom medium filter, the aggression of a bright wah mode and the "chainsaw" grain of vintage fuzz. The JCT95 contains two voicings for the wah-wah mode: the "U.K. Filter" mode is based on a transistor system that emulates the unique envelope-filter sound used by Justin (listen to "The Patient" on the Lateralus album).
The "Wah" mode uses the "Fasel" cricuit found on the Cry Baby Classic and generates a more aggressive, harmonically rich sound. Each mode is customizable with Volume and Q controls, making the pedal infinitely rich in tone. Finally, the integrated fuzz will cut through the mix with unrivalled precision (listen to "Jambi" on 10000 Days).
