Koch Studiotone combo

True to Koch tradition, this Koch Studiotone combo sounds much bigger than it looks, and offers many original features. Starting with 2 EL84 Class A tubes, a newly designed speaker and speaker cabinet, 3 footswitchable channels and 2 voicing selectors, the Studiotone is reminiscent of the British tube amps of the '60s. The 3 channels (clean, overdrive and overdrive+) offer warm tones as well as saturated overdrive and compression. The 2-position "Mid Shift" selector boosts frequencies around 800 Hz, and the 3-position "Bright" selector boosts or cuts high frequencies. There are pleasant surprises on the rear panel too, and a quick inspection reveals an effects loop, a recording output with simulated mic placement and speaker type, 2 line outputs (one unfiltered, the other low-level) and a headphone jack. The speaker cabinet output in 4, 8 or 16 Ohms allows any combination of speakers, and the speaker selector lets you mute the speaker to record or use headphones undisturbed! There's also a level-adjustable Accutronics© reverb on the front panel.
