Synthesizer
KORG phase8 is aimed at musicians, sound designers and sound creators looking for an expressive, different and inspiring instrument. This eight-voice acoustic synthesizer combines physical sound generation with precise electronic control. It's ideal for sound exploration, live performance and the creation of organic textures impossible to reproduce with a conventional synthesizer.
Features
Acoustic Synthesis: a lively, responsive sound
KORG phase8 generates sound from real steel resonators set into vibration. The result is organic, unstable and expressive timbres that react to touch, play and environment. Ideal for breaking away from static sounds and bringing life to your productions.
8 independent voices for true physical polyphony
Each voice has its own electromechanical resonator. Play chords, strings or complex sequences with a natural, dynamic response. A perfect approach for musicians who want truly expressive polyphony.
Interchangeable, tunable resonators
The phase8 comes with 13 chromatically tuned resonators, 8 of which can be installed simultaneously. You can adapt the scale, register and tonal character to suit your needs. A real playground for personalizing your instrument.
Integrated polymetric rhythmic sequencer
Program step-by-step or record your sequences live, without quantization. Each voice has its own rhythmic logic, thanks to step skip. Easily create evolving patterns and organic polyrhythms.
Modulations and wavefolding to sculpt timbre
Amplitude modulations include a classic tremolo and two fast, pitch-dependent modes. Analog wavefolding adds grain and harmonic complexity. You can go from a soft sound to more abrasive textures in a single gesture.
Physical interaction and AIR control
Touch, pinch, rub or tap the resonators to modify the sound in real time. The AIR slider adjusts acoustic sensitivity to external objects and interactions. An instrument designed for play and direct experimentation.
Full connectivity for your setup
phase8 integrates easily into a studio or live setup, thanks to MIDI, USB-MIDI, Sync and CV. You can drive it from an external sequencer or use its sequencer to control other machines.
