Martin Billy Strings D-X2E - natural satin

The MARTIN GUITAR Billy Strings D-X2E is the signature model of Billy Strings (born William Lee Apostol in 1992). He's an American guitarist, singer, songwriter and composer whose favorite genre is bluegrass music. He has released four studio albums, with "Home" winning an award for Best Bluegrass Album of 2021. He repeated the feat in 2025 with "Live Vol. 1." A consumer version of his Martin D-28, the Billy Strings D-X2E is an electro-acoustic Dreadnought-style steel-string acoustic guitar that deserves your full attention for its remarkable price-performance ratio and earth-friendly design: the top is solid Spruce, and the back and sides are made of HPL (High Pressure Laminate) coated with a film that imitates the look of Brazilian Rosewood to perfection. HPL is a combination of resin and paper, pressed and heated at very high temperatures, to produce a remarkable sound (Martin&Co is a forerunner in the development of new materials and the search for alternative species to reduce the human impact on traditional wood reserves).

It also features a shorter-than-usual scale (25" instead of 25.4"), a reduced neck width (4.37 cm at the nut), an Ebony fingerboard and a Martin E-1 preamp with volume, tone, phase and tuner.
