This example, bearing serial number 76993, was originally purchased in 1941, and has passed through three generations without ever leaving Southern California.
This exceptional Joe Bonamassa 000-45 pays tribute to the golden age of the acoustic guitar. It's made of premium-grade woods, with a Martin VTS (Vintage Tone System) treated Adirondack Spruce top and bracing, a Guatemalan Rosewood body, Mahogany neck and Ebony fingerboard. The Joe Bonamassa 000-45 will be produced in a limited edition of 45. The exclusive VTS torrefaction process is a high-temperature thermo-chemical treatment of the wood species, giving them the appearance and acoustic behavior of old-growth woods. Adirondack is one of the most prized varieties of Spruce. Its clarity and projection are unquestionably superior to those of traditional Sitka Spruce, with muffled midrange. Guatemalan Rosewood has tonal qualities close to those of Brazilian Rosewood, whose exploitation has unfortunately been banned by the CITES organization. It is considered one of the most prestigious species, offering warm, rich and powerful tones.
