MXR finally enters the world of looping effects pedals with the MXR Clone Looper M303. Housed in a compact, sturdy case, the M303 combines a range of features that will make it a new force to be reckoned with in this category.
The Clone Looper lets you record an unlimited number of loops for up to 6 minutes (they remain in memory even when the pedal is switched off). An LED indicates the start of a loop with a countdown of 4 luminous flashes to keep the rhythm.
The M303 supports an 88.2 kHz recording format offering optimum quality and excellent handling of effect chains and the fiercest distortions.
Among the Clone Looper's various controls, you'll find a main volume knob, with multiple options at your fingertips: - a single press divides the loop speed by 2, increasing the recording time to 12 minutes - a double press on the volume knob doubles the recording speed, leaving 3 minutes to store your loops - a longer press reverses the loop - delete the last loop recorded by pressing the volume knob for 5 seconds The Clone Looper features two footswitches. The left footswitch activates the loop recording and dubbing functions by launching successive layers. On the right, the footswitch is used to play or stop recorded loops.
The M303 is equipped with a CTR jack input for externalizing all volume pot controls to an MXR Tap Tempo switch. This allows you to control all the pedal's functions with the tip of your foot.
Another EXP input is designed to connect a DVP Volume expression pedal to control the output volume of each loop. This EXP input can also accommodate a second MXR Tap Tempo switch to take advantage of the Play Loop Once function, which generates a "stuttering" effect.
