Description

Neumann's TLM 107 is a large-diaphragm condenser microphone, certainly one of the brand's most versatile models. It offers 5 polar patterns and an innovative operating concept, ensuring coloration-free signal reproduction. This versatility means it performs exceptionally well at all sound pressure levels, capturing everything from the softest murmurs to thunderous drums.

Highlights of the Neumann TLM 107

  • For studio, broadcast and demanding home studio applications, the TLM 107 perfectly embodies the Neumann philosophy: innovation based on tradition.
  • It offers high-precision, wide-spectrum performance reproduction, very close to the original, allowing creative freedom in mixing and post-production.

Features of the Neumann TLM 107 microphone

Neumann Tlm 107 - - Variation 4

A modern microphone with high impulse fidelity

The newly designed capsule, inspired by one of Neumann's top-of-the-range microphones, the D-01, impresses with its remarkable impulse fidelity. The high coherence of the five polar patterns (omnidirectional, cardioid, figure-8, wide cardioid and hypercardioid) is unusual for a large-diaphragm capsule.

Neumann Tlm 107 - - Variation 1

Uncompromising sound design

Transformerless circuitry ensures a high level of linearity and a wide dynamic range. With a self-noise of just 10 dB-A, the TLM 107 accepts very high sound levels, up to 153 dB SPL thanks to pre-attenuation (Pad). Low-cut filters (linear, 40 Hz and 100 Hz) are precisely matched to recording situations.

Innovative operating concept

All microphone configuration functions are intuitively controlled by a navigation knob. The bright directivity display and the pre-attenuator and low-cut filter settings are indicated by LEDs. The displays switch off automatically after 15 seconds to avoid distracting singers.
