Overdrive, distortion & fuzz effect pedal
The Halcyon Green Overdrive Black Edition is a low-gain overdrive pedal from the limited edition Origin Effects, featuring a special circuit (Adaptive circuit) that adapts the voicing of the pedal to the dynamics of your playing and volume variations. If you are looking for an overdrive pedal that is responsive to the nuances of your playing, the Halcyon Green Overdrive from Origin Effects is an excellent choice.
The design of this pedal is inspired by the famous Ibanez Tube Screamer, known for its midrange profiling, low-gain drive and slight blend of clean signal. It has proven to be a reference for guitarists. One of the common problems of TS pedals, namely the degradation of the sound when the volume of the guitar is reduced, is solved by the Adapt switch, allowing you to play without worrying about whether the pedal is activated or not.
The Voice switch offers two midrange boost modes: the classic TS pedal sound (808) and a brighter sound with an upper midrange boost. The latter will be particularly appreciated by metal players who use the overdrive in front of the machine to energize and firm up their sound, as well as by guitarists wanting a less warm and more articulate rendering at the neck pickup.
