Overdrive, distortion & fuzz effect pedal
The Halcyon Green Overdrive Black Edition is a low-gain overdrive pedal from the Origin Effects limited series, featuring a special Adaptive circuit that adapts the pedal's voicing to your playing dynamics and volume variations. If you're looking for an overdrive pedal that's responsive to the nuances of your playing, the Halcyon Green Overdrive from Origin Effects is an excellent choice.
The design of this pedal is inspired by Ibanez's famous Tube Screamer, renowned for its midrange profiling, low-gain drive and light, clean signal mixing. It has proved a benchmark for guitarists. One of the common problems with TS pedals - sound degradation when the guitar volume is reduced - is solved by the Adapt switch, allowing you to play without worrying about whether the pedal is on or off.
The Voice switch offers two modes of midrange amplification: the classic sound of the TS pedal (808) and a brighter sound with an accentuation of the upper midrange. The latter will be particularly appreciated by metal players who use the overdrive in front of the machine to energize and firm up their sound, as well as by guitarists seeking a less warm, more articulate rendering of the neck pickup.
