Double cut electric guitar

The PRS SE Hollowbody (TS) combines the power and stability of a solid-body electric guitar with the captivating resonance of a hollowbody instrument. The 58/15 “S” pickups deliver clarity and balance that sound big and musical in the hollowbody platform. Designed to look as good as it sounds, the SE Hollowbody II also features a figured maple top and back and mahogany sides as well as a mahogany neck (set-neck construction) with PRS trademark bird inlays. Both hollowbody and solidbody players will feel at home with the SE Hollowbody II.

J'ai acheté cette guitare début octobre en boutique. J'en suis très satisfait. Elle est légère et très bien finie. La lutherie est excellente, le manche confortable et je n'ai rien à redire sur les finitions.

Les micro ont un son typé vintage, c'est ce que je cherchais. J'utilise principalement le son clair ou avec un léger overdrive.

Je n'ai pas encore changé les cordes d'orgines qui semblent avoir su mal à tenir l'accord. J'ai souvent rencontré ce problème avec les cordes d'origine de mes guitares certainement dû à mon jeu (essentiellement blues et pas mal de bend).

Léger craquement lors du changement de micro si la guitare sonne. Les cordes au repos, ce craquement est absent.

Les potards de volume et de tonalité sont fluides, précis et très progressif (pas d'effet on/off, on profite de toute la plage).

Micro manche très rond et chaud, micro chevalet un peu trop criard à mon goût. En baissant le micro cela réduit un peu le côté fender que je n'aime pas trop.

Pour conclure, je cherchais une demi caisse moderne, ne ressemblant pas à une ES, plus légère que ma les paul, orientée, rock 50/60 et blues et je susi très satisfait de mon achat. Couplé à un Bugera V22 et un HP Celestion vintage j'ai une palette de son clair excellente.
