A prestigious collaboration for a one-of-a-kind guitar

The PRS USA Limited Edition John Mayer SE Silver Sky Defender (Portofino Red) is the result of a close collaboration between the blues virtuoso and renowned instrument maker Paul Reed Smith. Crafted in the United States by master luthiers, this guitar embodies artisanal excellence while drawing inspiration from the artist’s favorite vintage guitars. Every component has been meticulously designed to create the ideal single-coil pickup guitar, specifically for John Mayer.

Custom Features for Unmatched Tone

Virtually every component of the Silver Sky Defender has been customized to John Mayer’s specifications, including the 635JM pickups, which deliver full, rich, and extremely musical tones. This attention to detail results in an instrument that is both comfortable to play and highly versatile sonically.
