Overview

Manufactured in Germany at the Warwick workshops, the SADOWSKY MetroLine 21-Fret Vintage M/J Bass, Red Alder Body, Morado Fingerboard, 4-String (SML21MJ4 32 ALD FR) is a sublime reinterpretation of an iconic American solid-body electric bass.

High-quality craftsmanship for exceptional sound

Its construction features an American alder body, a bolt-on maple neck, and a morado fingerboard (set with 21 frets). This traditional design produces a well-balanced, dense, and responsive acoustic foundation, offering:

Thick, punchy bass
Prominent mids
Dynamic and clear highs

Morado (Pau Ferro), the wood used for the fingerboard, comes from the forests of Brazil and Bolivia. Its high density produces tones that blend rosewood and maple, while its very pleasant feel is unmistakably reminiscent of ebony.

Versatility thanks to high-performance pickups

The Vintage M/J Bass is incredibly versatile, equipped with a pair of Sadowski hum-canceling J-Style (Jazz Bass©-type) and MM-Style humbucker (Music Man©-type) pickups, paired with custom active electronics. The VTC (Vintage Tone Control) filter effectively complements the traditional bass and treble controls by attenuating high frequencies to give your tones an authentic vintage character, as if the bass were passive.
