Sadowsky basses are expection basses, a Japanese style brand with unique design and mechanics.
New York luthier Roger Sadowsky begins in 1972 as a repairman in a music store in Philadelphia. He finally moved to New York in 1979 to create a workshop called "Roger SADOWSKY". Sadowsky builds a solid reputation by building bespoke basses for a variety of great bass players such as Jason Newsted (ex-Metallica), Tom Hamilton (Aerosmith) or Marcus Miller, as well as a small preamp unanimously appreciated.
In 2004, Sadwosky established a branch of his company in Japan, specifically in Tokyo under the watchful eye of luthier Yoshi Kituchi, to create bass at affordable prices, the Sadowsky Japanese bass from the Metro Series.
