In the spirit of an optimized Fuzz Face or Tonebender, the SILKTONE Fuzz saturation pedal is built around a pair of germanium transistors, specially calibrated to offer a wide variety of textures.
The Silktone Fuzz distinguishes itself from its competitors thanks to special features that enable it to achieve remarkable tones in all circumstances. First of all, you can adjust the bias to achieve the ideal result - the "sweet spot" - whether you're looking for a dirty fuzz or something more subdued. The "Clean Up" control allows you to lighten the sound, just like when you turn down the volume on your guitar, to achieve that superb, bright and expressive fuzz/light-overdrive hybrid grain coveted by so many musicians.
What's more, the Silktone Fuzz comes with a microphone simulation circuit that lets you place the pedal wherever you like in your effects chain, without having to worry about the usual impedance problems that can occur between certain types of processors, and which deteriorate the musicality and nuance of your signal.
