Supervised down to the last detail by the famous American musician, the SIRE Larry Carlton Q7 Hollow (Transparent Blue) is ostensibly inspired by the PRS© Hollowbody in a much less expensive but still high-quality version! (Mahogany hollowbody with maple top, mahogany set neck, Ebony fingerboard with 25" scale, humbucking pickups, fixed bridge).
Combining the accessibility of a solid body electric guitar with the acoustic resonance of a hollow body, it excels in terms of price/performance ratio. The lutherie combines a "Full Chambered" mahogany body with a Maple top sublimated by a superb figured Maple veneer, a Maple neck and an Ebony fingerboard. The sound is naturally full-bodied and warm, as velvety as it is expressive. Generous lows with no lack of dynamics, rich mids and hushed highs.

Equipped with a duo of nuanced Sire Q humbucking pickups, the Q7 Hollow is equally at home with clean sounds (pop, funk, traditional blues, modern jazz) and crunch, right through to hard-rock saturation (although its design is not suited to more radical registers such as contemporary metal).
