The SPECTOR Dan Briggs NS-2000/5 (NS2000BRIGGS ) solidbody electric bass with active electronics is the Between the Buried & Me bassist's signature model. It's a customized version of the original NS-2000 that the artist has been using since his university days.
Made from exceptional woods, it combines modern ergonomic design, traditional lutherie (American Maple body, three-piece Maple through-neck, Maple wings, Poplar burl top, Pau Ferro fingerboard) and more contemporary features such as 24 frets and an EMG pickup / Spector TonePump Jr. pre-amp combo.Based on a JFET-type circuit, the Spector TonePump system satures very naturally, while maintaining remarkable clarity. The Dan Briggs NS-2000/5 is the perfect choice for metal sound enthusiasts. The Pau Ferro wood used for the fingerboard comes from the forests of Brazil and Bolivia. Its high density generates a hybrid sound between rosewood and maple. Its pleasant touch is unmistakably reminiscent of Ebony.
