Multi-scale guitar
The STRANDBERG Boden Prog NX 7 (BD7TCT-24P-L-F-DB ) is a model of ergonomics and versatility, a solid body electric guitar with tonal chambers, seven strings and multi-scale fanned frets. Gorgeous and singular, the Boden is objectively impossible to take in reverse, and hard to put down once you've laid your hands on it.
The combination of hybrid luthiery (Swamp Ash body, solid 4A figured maple top, bolt-on maple neck, 24-fret Ebonol fingerboard) and a set of Fishman Fluence Modern pickups in an HH configuration makes it possible to tackle a wide variety of musical styles with equal ease. The Fishman Fluence Modern pickups feature two distinct voicings activated via the push-pull tone potentiometer. The neck pickup is equipped with AlNiCo V magnets, the bridge pickup with Ceramic VIII magnets, and the fingerboard with Ebonol, an excellent substitute for Ebony. Ebonol is a synthetic/high-pressure laminate made from layers of paper and phenolic resin, offering visual and sonic characteristics similar to Ebony. Often used in the design of bowed string and wind instruments (notably clarinets, and for fretless bass fingerboards), an instrument equipped with a multi-scale fingerboard with fanned frets offers two major advantages: - optimized string tension for modern tuning (down-tuning) while maintaining optimal intonation - less muscle and tendon stress.
