Strymon COMPADRE COMPRESSEUR

The Compadre is the only pedal in the range to be 100% analog. The input stage, compression and boost circuits are analog and digitally controlled. This makes it possible to integrate MIDI functions for each parameter, and to integrate the Compadre into a complete MIDI system.

The Compadre is two pedals in one. A compressor and a totally independent boost. The compressor part offers two distinct compression modes:
- STUDIO: This mode gives you Studio quality compression, similar to the best professional racks of its kind. The result is a smooth, natural compression that you can dose to perfection. This mode is ideal for seamlessly adding thickness and dynamics to your sound.
- SQUEEZE: This mode gives you the compression typical of the genre's pedals, with plenty of "squash". This can be made more extreme, with more massive compression and maximum sustain. Ideal for solos and other funk rhythms.

An essential parameter, the Dry knob lets you re-inject dry signal in parallel with the compression stage. This way, even at the most extreme compression settings, you can retain your natural uncompressed attack and add "air" to the most processed signal.

The Boost section is not to be outdone. You have two distinct analog boosts at your disposal: a Clean boost for a level boost, transparently highlighting harmonic content. A Dirty boost for a very light drive, close to that of a low-gain overdrive. What's more, you benefit from 3 different EQ modes: Treble, Mid, Flat. So you can boost the top end of the spectrum for more snap and brilliance, the mids for greater thickness and fluidity, and the whole spectrum with the Flat mod (perfect for adding complexity to your clean sounds).

Every parameter in your chain has an impact on your sound. Pickups, strings, guitar, cable, amp, HPs etc... With Compadre activated, it's simple: you hear all these parameters better. More harmonics, more dynamics, more thickness and sustain. It magnifies every note, adding content and richness of sound. Placed in front of the Strymon Iridium, it brings an analog touch to this magnificent "digital" amp, adding the warmth and complexity that only a quality analog circuit can offer. These two pedals are made to work in perfect symbiosis. But rest assured, Compadre brings that "plus of everything" to any configuration!
