Takamine GLN12E NS - natural satin

The TAKAMINE G Series GLN12E NS is an electro-acoustic steel-string acoustic guitar perfectly emblematic of the philosophy of the Japanese brand, acclaimed for the overall quality, flexibility and functionality of its instruments, particularly in the entry/mid-range segment. With a short 630mm scale, its playing comfort is particularly remarkable. The GLD12E is a NEX model (Takamine proprietary gauge, intermediate between Dreadnought and Jumbo). It features a spruce top, Okoume back and sides, mahogany neck and Jatoba fingerboard.

Used for decades by the maritime and aeronautical industries, Okoume (native to West Africa) is the wood of choice for both acoustic and electric guitars (John Suhr used it for many years).
The fingerboard is made of Jatoba (or Brazilian Cherry), a wood whose tonal characteristics are close to those of Pau Ferro. Finally, it is equipped with a Takamine TP-3G preamp with three-band EQ and tuner, to facilitate live and studio recording.
