The TAYLOR Limited Edition Academy 12e-N Figured AA-Koa is a limited-edition electro-acoustic classical guitar, Grand Concert style, made in Mexico, with an unbelievable price/performance ratio and impeccable craftsmanship. With its solid torrefied Spruce top, laminated Hawaiian Koa body, Mahogany neck and Ebony fingerboard, it produces dynamic tones remarkably balanced between depth and clarity.
The body is contoured so as not to injure the right arm resting on it - a characteristic of top-of-the-range guitars!
The Academy 12e-N Figured AA-Koa can be simply and effectively amplified using the Expression System Baby ES-B Nylon with on-board chromatic tuner (a simplified version of the ES2). Koa is a tropical hardwood endemic to the island of Hawaii. It is a dense wood that combines the rich midrange of mahogany with the brilliance of maple. Instruments made from Koa will inevitably improve with years of use, gaining in warmth, smoothness and openness. Sold in Taylor gig bag.
