The Fat General is an evolution of the highly acclaimed OTC-201 compressor. Thorpy FX and the designer of the OTC have collaborated to offer guitarists a compressor that stands out from the crowd! Unlike many compressors, the Fat General will add sustain and balance to your signal without adding unwanted noise or pump. On top of that, the Fat General can be very transparent, but with a particular clarity and brilliance. This new model carries on the military-style aesthetics and solid construction of all Thorpy FX pedals. As usual with the brand, the components are of the highest quality. These include premium 1% metal film resistors, Panasonic & Wima capacitors, Neutrik jacks and a Burr-Brown operational amplifier.
