The BB-Preamp is truly unique, because it's super-transparent and, like the other Xotic boosters, adds level (30dB available) but above all sustain and dynamics to your sound.
Gain control gives you incredible sonic richness, and the overdrive/distortion range is incredibly wide. From AC/DC or ZZTop-style crunch to Eric Johnson or Robben Ford-style lead distortion, the BB-Preamp covers all these registers, and the warm, fat, harmonically rich sound is sure to charm. The Bass and Treble tone controls are highly effective and offer a wealth of possibilities, in addition to the EQ of your amp or other pedals. The middle pot stroke leaves the original sound unchanged.
The BB-Preamp booster prevents you from losing level or treble, and effectively protects your signal from buzz and other unwanted noise resulting from numerous connections or long jacks, in the manner of a DI or buffer.
